
Post Stroke Care
Having a CVA or TIA means time is of the essence with recovery. Everyone will have various immediate and recurrent ailments; no stroke is alike. We experience a number of families not receiving the essential education when it comes to recovering from a stroke and many times, questions are left unanswered and seem incredibly confusing. We can empathize with our own personal and working experience that being admitted to the hospital and, the post hospital transition is very daunting. We hope to address all areas of concerns including how to navigate the healthcare system, receiving the proper rehabilitation training including appropriate use of orthotics for contracture management or use of assistive devices to ensure optimal recovery. In addition, we assist individuals and families with coping mechanisms to maintain a peaceful state of mind while going through an unfortunate life event.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care
Our top priority for memory-related illness is to provide a safe and comforting environment for individuals and families. We specialize in strategies for redirection and provide further caregiver training in hopes to reduce any levels of anxiety and help you establish an enriching environment.


Joint Replacement
We provide education on common restrictions, crucial post care activity and utilizing tools to assist with healing and prevent possible complications such as an infection or swelling. We mainly see patients who have knee or hip replacement post op. With both surgeries, we educate individuals on common precautions and train in areas of mobility, personal care, transfers, etc. while adhering to precautions.
Parkinson’s Care
Parkinson’s disease presents its own set of challenges and can be a great strain on the body. There are 5 stages during this progression, but it is difficult to know what to expect since the disease progresses in different ways for different people. Depending upon the stage, we are trained to assist with mobility, providing education on adaptations for tremors or speech volume, reducing risk of falls and providing instruction to ensure individuals maintain an optimal quality of life in the home.


Amputations
Adjusting to life with a missing limb could require some time and can impact your mobility, employment, social interactions, and self-sufficiency. Persistent discomfort, the sensation of a missing limb, and psychological distress can make the healing process more challenging. Despite the challenges, numerous individuals can maintain a healthy, active way of life following an amputation. We provide education on the significance of wound healing, skin integrity, phantom pain and developing strength. We also instruct on how to navigate independently with or without a prosthetic. Additionally, we prioritize addressing any feelings of grief and loss related to limb removal, as well as any associated mental health challenges.
Personal Care
Whether you are looking for assistance or seeking to improve your independence with toileting, dressing, and/or bathing, due to overall, limited range of motion or experiencing levels of instability, we are trained in utilizing adaptations and compensatory strategies to assist clients in reaching their maximum potential.


Companionship/Supervision
Having a companion reduces the levels of stress and loneliness one may experience. Staying indoors, going out for fresh air or attending a recreation will be sure to light up one’s spirits.
Transportation services
Unlike many transportation services, we offer individualized transportation. Our goal is to keep you or your loved ones safe, happy and comfortable during the entire trip. We are highly trained in transporting individuals from various surfaces and vehicles dependent upon their current physical level.Not only do we provide transport, but we are able to stay with your loved ones during the appointment as well as communicate with staff as requested. Our transportation services are designed to alleviate the burden of care and enhance your quality of life.
